San Antonio Zoo invites you to a heartwarming and inclusive holiday experience, introducing Sensory-Friendly Hours at Zoo Lights, powered by CPS Energy. This event ensures the magic of the holidays is accessible to all, including individuals with sensory sensitivities.
When & Where:
• Tuesday, December 10 | 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
• Tuesday, December 17 | 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
• Location: San Antonio Zoo, 3903 N. St. Mary’s Street
During these special hours, visitors will enjoy quieter music, reduced flashing lights, and designated quiet zones, creating a welcoming atmosphere for everyone. In collaboration with KultureCity, San Antonio Zoo offers sensory bags with noise-canceling headphones, fidget tools, and verbal cue cards, along with curated activities like sensory bins and felt trees.
This unique combo event allows attendees to explore the zoo’s animal exhibits during the day and enjoy the enchanting holiday-themed Zoo Lights in the evening. Highlights include meeting holiday characters, interactive animal encounters, delicious treats, and family-friendly activities.
